NCKU X FULBRIGHT TAIWAN Tree Planting Ceremony
NCKU Office of International Affairs sincerely invites your participation in the “NCKU X FULBRIGHT TAIWAN Tree Planting Ceremony.”
To echo with the noble ideas and spirits symbolized by the Fulbright Tree-Planting Initiative, the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and Fulbright Taiwan are to jointly plant a Taiwan ebony (Diospyros philippensis) tree near by the Jingpo Gate at Kuang-Fu Campus, NCKU. Taiwan ebony (Diospyros philippensis) tree is one of the native plants of southern Taiwan growing in Hengchung Peninsula, Taitung, Green Island and Lanyu areas. It is also considered as an indigenous fruit tree species and regarded by the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan as one of the precious wood.
The ceremony is therefore also a celebration of the fruitful collaborations between NCKU and Fulbright Taiwan.
